{"id":1832,"date":"2019-08-08T11:46:38","date_gmt":"2019-08-08T11:46:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/?p=1832"},"modified":"2019-08-08T11:46:38","modified_gmt":"2019-08-08T11:46:38","slug":"unable-to-connect-to-teradata-from-toad-datapoint-with-an-active-directory-account","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/?p=1832","title":{"rendered":"Unable to Connect to Teradata from Toad DataPoint with an Active Directory Account"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"yiv0699963851MsoNormal\">A user was unable to connect to Teradata from Toad DataPoint using a Microsoft Active Directory account.\u00a0 When I looked at the user account in Teradata, it was showing as active and unlocked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0699963851MsoNormal\">The user was getting the following Logon Error:<\/p>\n<p class=\"yiv0699963851MsoNormal\"><i>[Teradata Database] [8017] The UserId, Password or Account is invalid.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/ToadDataPointLogonError.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1833 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/ToadDataPointLogonError.jpg\" alt=\"Toad DataPoint Login Error\" width=\"561\" height=\"267\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The user had her name, password, and server settings that were correct.
