Problem:<\/h2>\n

Just downloaded the Teradata Express 14.10 for VMware Player, I opened the Teradata Studio version 14.10 in the virtual machine.\u00a0 Before I configured a connection profile, I closed the program.\u00a0 Next time I opened Teradata Studio, the splash screen displayed for a minute, then the studio opened for about three seconds then disappeared with out any kind of error.<\/p>\n

From what I was able to determine from the Teradata user boards, because I did not configure a connection profile, the program errors & closes.<\/p>\n

Warning:\u00a0 What is being proposed may cause a loss in saved settings or configuration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the workstation running Teradata Studio, find the directory “.metadata”.\u00a0 In my case, it was located in the workspace-studio directory.\u00a0 I deleted the directory at the commandline using “rm -R .metadata<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

The next time Teradata Studio is started, the .metadata directory is recreated.\u00a0 In my case, I had to go though the tutorial again.<\/p>\n
