{"id":1213,"date":"2016-06-05T12:24:23","date_gmt":"2016-06-05T12:24:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/?p=1213"},"modified":"2016-06-05T12:24:23","modified_gmt":"2016-06-05T12:24:23","slug":"modify-profile-problem-in-teradata","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/?p=1213","title":{"rendered":"Modify Profile Problem in Teradata"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>Problem:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A profile was created with the wrong account ID which can be view in the <strong>DefaultAccount<\/strong> column in the <strong>dbc.profileinfo<\/strong> view.\u00a0 This was causing a problem with viewing the information for the users of this profile in the <span class=\"st\"><em>PDCR<\/em> (Performance Data Collection and Reporting database).\u00a0\u00a0 The account ID should have started with &#8220;$M&#8221; for complex ad-hoc queries instead of &#8220;$L&#8221; for batch jobs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ProfileProblem.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1214 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ProfileProblem.jpg\" alt=\"ProfileProblem\" width=\"599\" height=\"346\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ProfileProblem.jpg 599w, http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ProfileProblem-300x173.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ProfileProblem-210x121.jpg 210w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 599px) 100vw, 599px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A normal assumption may be to modify the <strong>DefaultAccount<\/strong> column in the profile, however that only resulted in the following error:<\/p>\n<pre>MODIFY PROFILE Failed. 3706: Syntax error: Expecting the word COST.<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ModifyProblem.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1216 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ModifyProblem.jpg\" alt=\"ModifyProblem\" width=\"842\" height=\"292\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ModifyProblem.jpg 842w, http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ModifyProblem-300x104.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ModifyProblem-768x266.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.theSQLReport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/ModifyProblem-210x73.jpg 210w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 842px) 100vw, 842px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Solution:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<pre>MODIFY PROFILE &lt;
